Regenerative skin treatment guide

PRP facial treatment in Manchester.

A PRP facial uses processed blood components topically or by injection, sometimes alongside microneedling. Protocols and evidence vary.

What is PRP facial?

Blood is collected and centrifuged to prepare platelet-rich plasma. It may then be injected or applied during microneedling. The treatment should not be marketed as a guaranteed way to regenerate or permanently rejuvenate skin.

What should you consider before treatment?

Ask whether PRP is injected or applied topically, what device and sterile process are used, how platelet concentration is controlled and which specific concern the provider expects to improve.

Risks and recovery

Bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness and bleeding can occur. Infection or injury is possible if blood handling, equipment or injection technique is poor. A course may be suggested without guaranteed response.

Questions to ask at a consultation

  • How is the blood processed and tracked?
  • Will PRP be injected or combined with microneedling?
  • What evidence supports the proposed use?
  • What does the full course cost?

How much does PRP facial cost in Manchester?

Indicative private price. Injection, microneedling, treatment area and course length affect the total. This is a guide, not a quote.
